What a fantastic way to see the Snowy Mountains....at our own pace! Our habitat was wonderful.....loved the fire. A great spot to relax and soak it all in.

A great place to stay. Extremely comfortable - the warmed floors were an experience in themselves. Excellent communication before, during and after our stay - great customer service.

Had a lovely relaxing stay. We were amazed at how well the rooms heated up and stayed warm without even turning the heaters on! So much to see and do and nice convenient location next to the distillery. Have told friends and family.

The location was beautiful, the cabin very comfy, the stars at night were outstanding! All good I hope to come back.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Habitats but my knees and hips have told me that I have walked the big mountain for the last time. We have told our friends about our stay.
Steven from Orange wrote at February 16, 2012:
Great location and lots of friendly wildlife. Only complaint would be as already mentions about cleaning the BBQ's and replacing batteries in the remote controls for the TV. But minor compared to the joy of being that close to the landscape.

Excellent cabins, fantastic location easy to find even though we arrived at midnight. Very clean and comfortable. Thanks Rocky for an enjoyable stay.

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay, absolutely realaxing. Amenities are great, however a point of note, BBQs need to be checked for and cleaned more thoroughly. I will be back..........thank you.

We had a great time at the habitats and thought the huts were excellent. One minor point-I recommend that the weber bbq's be looked after and cleaned more regularly as they are the main form of cooking and ours hadn't been cleaned for a long time. We has a great time and would like to return.

Had a great time at Ultimo with Cameron, Rocky, Jamie, Gary, Sarah and the others. Good bed in a comfortable cabin. Great adventure location. The Spaniard was highly entertaining. Enjoyed the galloping polarises and the quiet of Moonbah River on the other side of the mountain.

It was a wet long weekend and, while we didn't get out on the Alpine walks we'd hoped for, we didn't feel at all cooped up in such a warm and cosy cabin.

What a little gem! Not too far from the ski slopes or Jindy. It had everything our little family needed and the accom was just lovely. It was nice coming home to a warm house with heated floors and bath room towels. Great to have somewhere to dry the gloves, boots and skis! Kids thought it was great cmoing home to the kangaroos, chickens an rabbits each day. Thank you we'll be back!

We had a fantastic time on our annual board-game boys weekend. The Alpine habitats were absolutely perfect and suited all our needs. Each unit was modern, with slab heating, a fire place, kitchen and cable tv(in room movies). All the guys had a great weekend and enjoyed all the board-games. We didn't leave to units during the whole time we just loved them that much. Brad and Michael

We LOVED our recent stay at Alpine Habitats! In fact, we wished we could have extended our stay so we could have explored the area a bit more. We were amazed by the warmth generated by the heating - despite it being freezing outside, we were peeling off our layers! The only minor issue was the hot tap in the shower kept falling off - I didn't get a chance to mention that to you Rocky before we left. We would certainly consider coming back to stay the next time we're over that way so the kids can continue 'exploring NSW' as they keep saying! Thanks again.

It is realy great place to relax. Everything there was peaceful and nice, only, the price was a little bit high. The management of the habitats was respectful. If I return to this place, I will stay there again.

The whole experience staying at Alpine Habitats was nice--- except for more than 3hours of waiting for the cabin to be cleaned on the first day we checked-in. We came back 2x to check if the room is already available (despite booking the accommodation 6 months in advance??). The management was very apologetic though and they became very attentive to our needs. Otherwise the place is great. I love the eco-friendly approached of the whole place. The idea of using ethanol for igniting the fire-place is very pleasant. No smokey-woody smell. The kids enjoyed seeing kangaroos, rabbits & Fox (?) around the area. The toilets are modern (10 points for that).
