Thredbo and Perisher have combined forces and released “Superski” – a 5 day lift ticket that allows you to ski at both resorts.

Kangaroos are out and about

It might be the conditions being wetter than usual but we seem to have more kangaroos than usual getting about at Alpine Habitats.  The photo below is of a kangaroo and her joey – these two have been hanging around constantly between the units and often hop right by while you are on the balcony!

Jindabyne Flowing festival is on 19-20 February

A weekend festival pass also includes unlimited rides on the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift.  THREDBO’s main chairlift rises 600 vertical metres from the picturesque valley floor to the top of the Ramshead Range, which is the perfect access point for an easy walk to the top of Australia – Mt Kosciuszko.

Awesome Japanese food in Jindabyne – Eboshi

Eboshi reckon they are the only Japanese restaurant between Canberra and Melbourne.  They boast a huge range of genuine Japanese beer and sake and the food is great including an awesome kids menu, super fresh sashimi and traditional Japanese dishes.
