The Wild Brumby Schnapps Distillery is a fun filled place to visit all year round. The distillery is fast becoming one of the most popular Snowy Mountains activities and has been featured on Getaway due to its ability to draw and woo the crowds. You can have a free schnapps tasting, get a meal, have a beer or wine, check out the gallery and sculptures and admire the views. Gaden Trout Hatchery
Gaden Trout Hatchery (http://www NULL.dpi NULL.nsw NULL.gov NULL.au/fisheries/recreational/info/fish-stocking/gaden)is open from 10am to 4pm daily and offers guided tours at 10am and 2pm each day. These tours are great for the adults and kids alike. What you see on the tour will vary seasonally but at times you can see the trout eggs at various stages of development. For a small contribution you can feed the fish in the ponds and see larger trout that you will ever see in the wild.
Thredbo Bobsled and Kosciuszko Express Chairlift
The Thredbo Bobsled (http://www NULL.thredbo NULL.com NULL.au/activities-and-events/summer-activities/bobsled NULL.asp)is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. With 700m of luge style track the bobsled twists and turns its way down the mountain whilst you control the speed with a brake on your cart. It’s great fun for all the family.
The bobsled is open from 12noon till 4:30pm Mon-Fri and 10:00am till 4:30pm Sat-Sun weather permitting.
While you are in Thredbo, try out the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift (http://www NULL.thredbo NULL.com NULL.au/activities-and-events/summer-activities/chairlift NULL.asp). The scenic chairlift is open 365 days a year, is 1.8km long and rises 560 vertical metres. The ride takes 15 minutes one way and offers spectacular valley views as you are lifted to the closest access point to Mount Kosciuszko
